Nationwide Title Clearing, Inc. has again been recognized by the Tampa Bay Business Journal on its 2014 Fast 50 list, which comprises the 50 fastest-growing, privately-held companies in Tampa Bay. NTC, a research and document processing provider for the mortgage and financial industry, ranked #13 on this year’s list, an improvement from 2013, when the company placed #26.

The Fast 50 Awards is an annual list released by the Tampa Bay Business Journal that ranks the 50 fastest-growing privately held companies in the region. As a company which experienced revenue growth of 134.74% over the past year, NTC reached #13 on this list, despite the lasting effects of the Great Recession that has affected the livelihood of many companies across the nation.

NTC CEO John Hillman attributes the company’s success to its commitment to its core values, in addition to maintaining the company’s inherent culture by seeking feedback from employees in an ever-increasing effort to improve upon current practices. Those initiatives, per Hillman, are what allow NTC to continuously expand while also meeting the increased demand for its services as a result of that growth.

“NTC’s prime focus is to build on its practices and improve upon them in a way that not only benefits the clients, but also benefits NTC employees and allows for the company to progress. Any recognition that we receive is considered a testament to our employees, processes and efforts to standardize the mortgage industry,” Hillman said.

NTC is an advocate for best practices that standardize the mortgage industry for the betterment of homeowners, land records and the industry at large. NTC has also been pivotal in leading the standardization of education in its industry on key issues such as notarial law best practices, property reports and risk management. NTC’s commitment has put it on the radar of government officials for its extensive employee continuing education programs. The training’s main focus helps to ensure that its clients (which include eight of the 10 largest residential mortgage lenders and servicers within the U.S.) are able to remain in compliance and thereby safeguard the nation’s property records and ultimately protect homeowners.

In addition to making the 2014 Fast 50 Awards list, NTC was also included in the Tampa Bay Time’s Top Workplaces list, as well as placing #2,097 on the Inc. 5000 list for mid-sized companies, marking the company’s third consecutive year on Inc.’s list.
