Too often vendors do software updates based on what they think lenders will need. Lenders should have much more input. To this end, Ellie Mae has launched the Ellie Mae Idea Center, a new online resource that enables clients to suggest and vote on new product enhancements to Encompass and related products and services, the company’s all-in-one mortgage management solution that helps mortgage lenders to originate loans with efficiency, quality and compliance. The Idea Center is designed to offer Ellie Mae clients deeper involvement in the company’s product roadmap and development process.
Available from within the Ellie Mae User Community, the Ellie Mae Idea Center allows clients to submit ideas, search ideas submitted by other users and provide feedback by voting or commenting on them. All ideas are reviewed and those that generate a significant level of positive responses will be considered for future enhancements.

“It is no secret that many of Ellie Mae’s greatest innovations over the years were originally ideas suggested by our clients,” said Jonas Moe, Ellie Mae’s vice president of product strategy. “The Ellie Mae Idea Center gives every Ellie Mae client the opportunity to have an impact on the future direction of our products and service by suggesting or voting on the product enhancements they would most like to see. By engaging the Ellie Mae community in this new and exciting way, our hope is to better understand our clients’ needs and ultimately deliver solutions that address their needs while continuing to help them create loans with greater quality, efficiency and compliance.”
